Position Description
As part of a small and dedicated team, you will manage the company's technical relationship with its world class system integration partner, for the manufacture of our industry leading PC-cluster based image generators. In addition, you will coordinate the related customer support logistics and RMA functions. Your primary workplace will be our San Francisco headquarters, but frequent visits to the facility of our Bay Area system integrator will be required, with telecommuting optional depending on performance. Periodic travel (an average of 10-20%) to customer locations to assist with system installations is required.
Required skills and experience
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
- 2+ years of experience with Personal Computer hardware manufacturing, assembly and testing
- In-depth knowledge of and experience administering Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Proficiency with VBScript, bash, or other scripting languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively when confronted with several diverse tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively via email
- US Citizenship
Desired skills and experience
- Experience with PC-based clustered compute systems
- Experience with logistics and RMA process management
- Experience with Windows deployment, including Symantec Ghost or Windows Deployment Services
- Knowledge of C/C++ and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, including macro scripting in Visual Basic
- Experience working out of a home office
- Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance
