Position Description
You will be a key part of the small core software team designing and developing the next generation of our real time graphics rendering engine and content creation tools, taking our art path and its integration with our shader engine to the next level of realism and performance. Your primary workplace will be our San Francisco office, with flexible working arrangements considered. Limited travel may be required.
Required skills and experience
- Passion for real time computer graphics
- 3+ years of experience with 3D real time content creation for the game, broadcast, entertainment or visual simulation industries
- In-depth knowledge of and experience programming in C and C++ languages
- Experience developing OpenGL or Direct3D applications, including graphics tools and programmable shading
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired skills and experience
- Experience in working with computer artists and software developers, and understanding of the requirements of an efficient content creation pipeline.
- Experience developing Win32 applications
- Experience with Maya, 3D Studio Max or Creator real time graphics content, including plug-in development
- Experience with Photoshop content, including plug-in development
- Experience with Perforce or similar asset revision control systems
- Experience developing tools to work with geographic data such as google earth, vector files, digital elevation and satellite imagery.
- Experience with multi-processing real time systems
- Experience with xml and web based database tools.
- Proficiency with scripting languages: VBScript, perl, bash, etc.
- US citizenship or permanent residency due to export control restrictions
