Position Description
You will be responsible for planning, writing and managing the testing processes, procedures and infrastructure for our industry-leading, Image Generator (IG) SW. Responsibilities include:
- Work with the engineering team to manage the existing automated testing infrastructure.
- Participate in short term and long term planning for all SW and product testing.
- Develop detailed test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Implement the execution of software and product tests.
- Prepare software defect (bug) reports.
- Investigate and diagnose problems encountered – including the identification of workarounds and/or corrective procedures.
- Test and evaluate the latest software releases and identify defects and other issues impacting functionality and performance.
- Work with the Manufacturing Manger to develop Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- Support the Field Team by confirming SW bugs and developing SW test cases.
- Manage the hardware resources necessary for the SW testing.
- Manage other test engineers as required.

Approximately 5-10% travel outside of the job location area is anticipated.
Required skills and experience:
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
- 3+ years experience in SW development, SW integration and/or SW Testing for real-time, flight simulators, display systems or similar field
- Experience with C, C++ and C# programming
- Experience with image generator ICDs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired skills and experience:
- 5+ years experience in SW development or SW integration
- Knowledge of CIGI interface programming
- Strong C, C++ and C# programming skills
- Experience with PC-based IGs
- Proficiency with scripting languages: perl, bash, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience with defect tracking systems such as Bugzilla or Mantis
- Experience with Configuration Management (CM) systems such as Perforce or Razor
